LASER ENGRAVERS

The diode and CO2 laser beam is safe with necessary precautions. The biggest inherent danger is the laser beam itself. Most lasers come equipped with a laser shield to help shield your eyes from the laser beam wavelength. If the shield is not in place do not look at the laser beam while it is cutting or engraving. Never leave your laser unattended at any time.

Diode laser engravers are relatively easy to set-up. Each unit is made of high quality materials and fasteners. The only aspect of assembling your laser that may require some tweaking will be your belt tension once your laser is built. CO2 lasers are user friendly and come with an installation manual. Keep in mind though, that we will be available to guide you and answer any questions you may have.

Desktop diode lasers are designed to be user friendly and are designed for those who are new to laser engraving, although there are many people that operate very successful laser engraving businesses with them. CO2 lasers contain an actual CO2 glass tube that produces the laser beam. These machines are much faster and stronger than diode lasers and are more suited for those wishing to expand and grow their laser engraving business.

Both desktop (diode) lasers and CO2 lasers can engrave a wide range of materials such as: wood, canvas, slate, acrylic, mirrors, glass, ceramic tile, and even certain coated metals such as anodized aluminum.

Materials that should not be laser engraved with our machines are leather containing chromium, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl butyral. Polytetrafluoroethylene, beryllium oxide, and any materials containing halogens, epoxy, or phenolic resins.

Yes you can, with a Y-axis rotary attachment for diode lasers or a CO2 rotary attachment you can engrave cylindrical items. Most rotary attachments also allow you to do cylindrical objects that taper, such as wine glasses.
